Tuition

Financial aid is available for grades K-12. We want to make attendance possible for all students who are accepted, regardless of their financial situation. Our aid program is robust and generous. We strongly encourage you to apply!

Tuition for the 2026-2027 school year is as follows:

  • K-8 Schools: $22,500.00

  • Mount Academy:

    • Day only: $44,800.00

    • Day + boarding: $59,800.00

  • Mount Childcare: 

If more than one child from a family attends Mount Childcare, a 5% discount is applied to the second child’s tuition.

Financial Aid

Important notes:

  • Need for financial aid is not a consideration in admissions decisions.

  • Financial aid is available for:

    • K-8 students;

    • 9-12 students whose permanent address is in the United States.

  • Some parents may worry that our schools are out of reach financially. However, with our generous aid program, it may be more affordable than you expect. We encourage you to apply!

Bruderhof Schools’ financial aid program is designed to make Mount Academy and Bruderhof Elementary education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. We are proud to use Clarity Financial Aid to determine your family’s level of financial need based on assets, income, expenses, and debts. The application is mobile-friendly and fully translated into Spanish.

To apply for aid (US residents only):

Step 1

Go to https://app.clarityapp.com/sign-up

Step 2

Begin your application and add “Bruderhof Schools (Esopus, NY)” to your student applicant entry. (Our financial aid office is in Esopus, NY, regardless of where your preferred school is located.) You may save your application and log out at any time and return later to complete it.

Step 3

Enter your financial information, review your application, and pay the $65 Clarity application fee. (Please email our financial aid office if you need to have the application fee waived.)

Step 4

Complete the Clarity Enhanced Tax Verification (ETV) process to release your W2 and personal tax return transcripts from the IRS. You'll be asked to authorize the sharing of your tax transcripts and to verify your identity. This is a one-time security measure required by the IRS to protect you against identity theft and the compromise of personal information. Clarity offers two options for the enhanced tax verification process: “Clarity” and “IRS”. Please reference the Tax Verification Guide to preview the steps of this process.

The IRS pathway is significantly faster, allowing for the tax documents to transfer to Clarity within 24 hours. Clarity has found that families who create an IRS.gov account before starting the Clarity Application have a much easier time completing the process.

Step 5

Submit your Clarity application and follow the link to return to your dashboard. There you will see any additional supporting documents requested by our schools. Please upload them. (We may also request additional documentation after reviewing your application.)
